How can the front diff knock, if your sitting still as u said?? Mybe the noise came from else where?? Maybe a front axle u joint???

Do u have any pics of said rock, or u on it?? Not that I'm doubting u, I wanna see what big means in your mind??

what does it matter what big means in my mind? You trying to turn this into a pissing contest? Don't understand how my axle u joint can make noise when its not moving.

The sound you are describing sounds like your clutch throwout bearing. If you hear the noise again put it in neutral and get under jeep and see if you can pin point where the sound is coming from. How many miles on your jeep? Replacing the clutch/throwout bearing not a real big deal. Probably makes sense to replace them both at once if one of them is going bad

I give up, I guess I have no idea what I'm taking about... What's an axle anyway???

Looks like u also spend more time looking at baby's got back, or pics of my gf/wife, etc, than actually talking about jeep mods, adjustments, parts, etc. IMO this thread is a waste of ram.
