King vs Fox

Find some factory take offs and put some 2" extentions on them. Once you map out your build (which generally takes some time and changes often with experience) you should know what you need for your driving style.
Just dumping a grand into shocks typically is a poor move.

Yea i know I've done my research before coming to the forum and thats whats taking me so long, cause I'm the first to say i have a ton to learn about my jeep and all the upgrades but i love it. And just don't wanna take a step thats going to run me into a hole i have to crawl out of. So if you were in my position and wanted to get a shock because mine are gone and want something that will be smooth and still do well on the trails and will last long enough for me to make my next big shock jump later down the road, what would you do?
replace your Rough Country lift first...

If I were to start over from scratch I would run ORI struts. And to answer you original question between the king and fox shocks there should not even be a choice to make. One shock is a clear stand out over the other. But personally I would chose neither, there are better options out there.
