I used plastic washers and didn't scratch them when I mounted them. However I drive mine as a daily comuter and the salt trucks peper you here in Michigan. I think what ever you get here would need a thick textured coating to hold up. I like the bumper paint idea thanks Dr. dirty

Not to de-rail, but do you all mount directly to the jeep or do you place something between the bracket and the jeep to protect the paint? Im not really worried about the brackets but i wouldnt want my jeep to start rusting.

3 months in Michigan and mine are the worst looking I have seen.
My buddy is painting a brush gard with Line x, I think I will try and clean them up and paint them with that. I was going to by some wide beams for the bumper but this makes me think about a different light.
