My brothers KC windshield mounts on his TJ are all rusted out. One more reason to cough up the extra dough to Mopar I guess.

Hey, why doesn't someone come out with a heavy duty plastic mount? Cheap, no rust, if it breaks, it's cheap to replace.

I installed mine with rubber washers to eliminate the chance of scratching the paint...so far so good!

Yeah, but we're talking about the actual mounts rusting out.

I used plastic washers and didn't scratch them when I mounted them. However I drive mine as a daily comuter and the salt trucks peper you here in Michigan. I think what ever you get here would need a thick textured coating to hold up. I like the bumper paint idea thanks Dr. dirty

I know I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a winch and bumper, cause I just can't think about running it in the winter. Also I don't want to have to put all the stock stuff back on in the fall.

Guess I should move some place warmer

Not to de-rail, but do you all mount directly to the jeep or do you place something between the bracket and the jeep to protect the paint? Im not really worried about the brackets but i wouldnt want my jeep to start rusting.

Where is the best place to get the Mopar mounts? My local dealer wants an arm and a leg for them.

My buddy is painting a brush gard with Line x, I think I will try and clean them up and paint them with that. I was going to by some wide beams for the bumper but this makes me think about a different light.
Geez, I didn't know they did a powder coat in rust!
