K&N Cold Air Intake
I am buying a K&N Cold Air Intake for a 2011 JKU in the next couple days. I am looking for feedback on mileage and performance.

I have the AEM not the K&N but I will say you will get some seat of the pants power increase and the mileage will probably be a wash. You driving style will change because of the throttle response so you might even take a slight loss in mpg's

A drop in is just another term for a free flow air filter that fits your stock box hence it drops right in. A bolt on is where you remove and replace the factory intake completely. A strap on is .... oops wrong forum.

Happy with AEM. I'm sure K&N will be a good system also. The cold air intake definitely give you a crisper throttle response. Can be a little loud under full throttle because you can hear it pullin in the air.
