is a K&N air filter worth it?

I'm torn one of my first mods on my 09 JKU didn't notice any improvement ..... You have to maintain them be careful of over spraying them/lube with the cleaner ..... I bought the K&N cleaner kit....... Think I'm switching back to paper and replacing them more often or at least when needed.

I've run them in everything i've owned that had an engine. Initially they are more expensive, but they flow more air, filter better, and last as long as the vehicle, with an occasional cleaning. You will probably not notice a performance increase.

I found the K&N filter has paid for itself now. You buy one, then you're set for life. With the other filters you need to change them out, this one, just clean and stick back in. I did notice my Jeep idled ALOT smoother after changing filter and cleaning TB.
For MPG wise, i routinely get 20-24mpg mixed driving. I've got a 2.5" lift, stock tires, k&n air filter.
