Default Just order tires and rims!

Thanks for all of your help with all of my questions. I know I asked a lot. I just order 5 cragar 16x8 soft 8s and 5 of the Treadwright Warden A/Ts. All should be in in about a week. Can't wait! Too bad I am scheduled to have ACL replacement surgery next Friday so I won't get to enjoy my rims and tires for a little while. Oh well, it will give me something to look forward too I guess.

That brings me to my last tire/rim question for a while. haha

Has anyone made any kind of a center cap for the Cragar soft 8s that is just flat to cover the end of the hub? I don't want one sticking out so i was just thinking of taking a flat piece of metal and marking the lug holes on it and drilling them and them putting it over the lugs and then putting my lug nuts on to hold it down. Painting it black of course to make it all match. I hope you can picture what I'm talking about. ha Hard to explain. Just a flat piece to cover the ends of the hubs you can see through the center hole of the rim. Follow me?

Not sure where I saw it but there were people making those center caps out of all sorts of things. I have a set of those for the winter and was looking to do the same thing. People were using many different kinds of center caps and cutting them down to make them fit, tops to spray paint cans all ready in black that fit. Search around and if I can find the site I will add it here.

Yeah I saw the sterno can write-up. Not a bad idea to cut it down shorter.

Now do ya'll think I would run into any issues if I took a think metal piece and put holes in it and put it over the lugs then used my lug nuts to hold it on the rim? What do ya'll think about that? Seems easy enough but just wondering if that would cause any issues with the lug nuts and stuff. Thoughts?

Ya'll don't be jealous of my mad "CAD" skills here, but something along these lines. Rims, then plate then lug nuts to hold it on.

I didn't cover the hubs up with anything. Just a little flat black paint.

I don't think you want anything between your lug nuts and the wheel. And I'm not just saying that because I'm jealous of your mad CAD skills, which, of course, I am.

Ok I was wondering about that. And I knew you'd be jealous. Most people are.

yeah I know. But I don't want them sticking out like they do. I don't like that look. I like the rim with no center cap look...but I want something to cover up the hubs you can see. Follow me?
