Just how bad are these lift and ESP problems?

Cdash, you are almost right on, except for the final aggressive type driver part. I have gone slow enough around the culprit curves that I have a line of cars on my a** and it still kicks in. One of the culprit curves I have been able to creep around and not have it activate. I really think the bank of the curve is the real issue. I have gone around properly bank curves faster and have not had it activate. I think by tapping the brakes as you enter into the curve may help set it off too. And it doesn't stop doing its thing until you straighten out again. I will have to check it by not having my foot on the brake at all and see what it does.
As far as how dangerous it is. Its not dangerous but annoying, you are trying to go faster and the Jeep is braking(pulsing quickly) which feels like your brake pads are down to bare metal.
I agree with Renegade, I wouldn't trade my lift and tires for a couple of annoying corners that I happen to hit a couple of time a week.
I wonder if having a shorter wheelbase(2dr) plays in to the formula also. It seems that if it had a sensitivity setting that could turn down just a hair it would do the trick.

ESP is a real annoyance for me
I've been dealing with this issue since day one, so I'm wondering why some people don't have the problem with a larger lift and bigger tires than I have.
If you're looking for a poll, I started on here a while back: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ght=activation
I've actually considered trading my JK for an '06 TJ. If I had known about this issue 3 months ago, I would have bought a new TJ.
I'm really just hoping for a solution now......

I have a stock Rubicon Unlimited and have been able to get the Esp to activate many times. In the situations where it activates I have been driving agressive on curves where the road changes camber from one turn to the next. If I drive the same road but watch how I throw the Rubicon around it will not activate. I have come to the modist conclusion that if you drive well it will not activate, however, if you drive agressive and throw the Rubicon arround it will activate. The more I drive the less I have the ESP activate. If you watch your line and dont jurk the wheel I think you will come to the same conclusion. I like it more every day. And the traction control is the bomb.

Ok guys.
I finally got my 3" Full Traction Ultimate Kit installed with 35" MT's
We aligned it best we could. The steering wheels straight.
I tried to get the esp to kick in around corners. No issues at all.
It still hasnt even been aligned at the tire shop yet,,,

This is interesting, I have a 2DR with Rusty's 3.25 lift, and 35's and I do get the ESP to kick on, so far it's as above only a few corners, 1 was an offramp. I have had it flashed, however it still continues to activate on various turns. I can only hope that there is a fix for the sensetivity for the lift JK's as I have loved my ride quality since the lift, and could never go back to stock.
