Default Just finished installing my new lift and 35" tires/wheels.... DEATH WOBBLE!!!

Hey guys just finished installing a 2.5" Rock Krawler max travel lift as well as 35" tires and 18" wheels and on the way home from the install my car felt like an old wooden roller coaster... it felt as if i was driving on railroad tracks Has anyone else experience this ?? Not sure what the cause of this is, but one of the reasons I went with the RK was because alot of people said the "ride" was better than stock... Unfortunately this is the exact opposite in my case!!

Make sure that your tracbar (and all other bolts) are torqued to the proper specs when the vehicle is resting on the ground. I would also get an alignment after (my friend had issues with his jeep fighting him after the RK 3.5 lift and it was due to his toe in and alignment).

Is your steering wheel off centered? Or is the ESP going off? If so, you need to adjust your draglink. They also say an alignment is required.

Also, it might be a waist of money for an alignment. All they need to do is re center your draglink. There's a thread about it.

I torqued everything to 125lbs and re centered my steering wheel... on a normal paved smooth road its ok. But driving it home from where I did the install on the freeway and it felt like the entire suspension was made out of wood... Im also running the bilstein 5100'S shocks!!

The only sensor that is going off is the TPMS sensor but I have the AEV OBD to fix that problem.

Hmmm..weird. maybe an alignment for sure. Does the kit come with swaybar link extensions? Maybe an adjustable/track bar bracket is needed.

A couple of things to check for:

-Before torquing everything to spec, was it done while the vehicle is fully rested on the ground. This will prevent the bushing from binding.

-Is your Front track bar adjusted properly making sure your front axle is centered.

-Verify that your rear track bar bracket is installed correctly and hasn't shifted. Did you get it welded?

-Are your sway bar links adjusted properly making sure your sway bar is leveled.

-Your kit Comes with adjustable control arms. Are they adjusted to specs and your caster set to stock specs.

-Verify that your tire pressure is around 28-30 psi and has not been over inflated, most tire shops inflate it based on the psi showing on the sidewall...

Keep us updated and good luck....

My tires were inflated to 65 PSI!!! I got them down to 30PSI much smoother ride... now just gotta work out a few lift kinks and I think it should be much better, thanks!!
