Default Jks quick disconnects falling off

To start I have the jks quicker disconnects with AEV 2.5 inch lift and stock rubicon tires.
Weird thing happening. For the second time in about 6 months the drivers side quick disconnect has lost the lynch pin on the top and I find it dangling. Both times it has happened while driving on the street and not immediately after diving off road or anything like that. Just casual driving.
Any ideas why this might be happening and how I can correct it to stop it from happening?

Had same issue with quick disconnects. Bought simpler and sturdier pin from tractor supply w/o the folding lock

My guess is the pin is backwards the pin closes only in one direction

Someone is snatching them as they walk by?

Do you have a picture or part # for the pins you bought.
I think a different pin might be the answer. It's just weird that it has only happened on the drivers side

There's a spacer between the disco and the sway bar making this a tight connection. Is this still there?

Yup, the rubber spacer is still there. The first time it came disconnected a few months ago I ordered extra rubber spacers from JKS manufacturing.

Try zip tieing the pin to itself?

Or try this type if pin?

This is what I use on the upper links now, haven't lost one since.

X3. Be cautious of the length. I had to use a shorter one.
