I keep two 12in sections of nylon rope handy and tie the sway bar in the horizontal position. Never had any problems.

So you're going to use the TF brackets with JKS quicker discos? I think the TF pins are a larger diameter than the JKS lower pins. I could be wrong.

Even If the tf lower pins are larger, the post on the bracket is smaller in diameter than the lower post on the axle. But you don't need the brackets, just disconnect, remove the links, leave it horizontal and get rowdy, strap it somehow if u want, but don't waste your money on the brackets. I got rid of my tf discos because I got rubbing when they were in the stowed position when stuffed and turned.

Well on second thought...I just picked up some 24" velcro straps at Lowe's...for $5.00 - I had been using zip ties...so much for going the TF Disco holding thingie...

i go with horizontal for the sway bar. there were posts like a year ago of people who raised it up and were puncturing tires and was recomended to them from the manufacturer to keep the sway bar in the horizontal neutral position.

i have used the big heavy duty zip ties to secure it after disconecting and no problems for me.

Not to pick on you CaptJay, because there are several posts with this thread
of an idea here. First, I use the TF QDs and, obviously the storage pins that
came with them. I do experience very light rubbing with 33" tires on my Jeep
during very heavy articulation. Now, my point: There are so many different
configurations of lifts, wheel offsets, tire sizes, etc, that saying something like
"people ... were puncturing tires" is meaningless. That is, I'm not disputing
what you and others have said. But, without very specific details on what
happened and what their configuration was, such a statement is totally
misleading. There are plenty of us out here running the TF QDs and storing
the sway bar with the provided pins. There's no reason they won't work with
the JKS QDs, though there are undoubtedly specific configurations of gear
that won't work at all no matter what brand of QDs one installs. The TF
storage brackets are a very elegant solution, and I have no fear that storage
pins are going to break (refuting the comment that many have had these
break--that's pure BS--and emphasizing that these are 1/2" diameter
machined steel--thus rejecting the comment that they should cost $2). Finally,
when you say the manufacturer made a recommendation, which one, TF, JKS,
Chrysler or another? Again, CaptJay, not to pick on you, but let's get complete
facts out there.

K well I have one thing to say, when I was running stock wheels/ tires (6.25" backspacing I believe) I had rubbing on the TF discos in the mounted position, oh and 2" BB at the time. But as far as the PINS go that came with, not the post for wich the links mount to, but the PINS that hold them in place, those are shit. They are like paper clips, yes one broke. I went to lowes and spent like $2 to replace the paperclip pins tf came with, with the same kind JKS uses, which are much stronger and far better design for the application IMO. I had one of the TF pins break, and one, I guess just wiggled loose and fell out. Other than that, great product. But I too have heard the neutral (horizontal) position to be the best, but may actually not be any better of a position than all the way up. I put mine horizontal and have never had a problem.

To the top... Let see some more pics of how you're stowing your sway bar once you disconnect your JKS links. Zipties, bungies, tie-down straps ... ...

Does anybody have a link to this referenced thread. I have read it before and really like his idea. I've been searching for it with no luck.

Nevermind - I guess I didn't search well enough. Here it is - great idea.

Some inexpensive lashing straps from the hardware store wrapped around the swaybar and the frame rail on either side keeps the sway bar in place just fine once the disconnects are removed.
