I just ordered both front and rear adjustable coil spacers from JKS (gift to myself for having no girlfriend on valentines day for the first time in along time ) and was wondering if I need longer shocks? If I do what size and any recommendations? FYI kit max's out at 2.5" in the front and 4" in the back but I plan on keeping it level at 2" if that helps. Thanks

If they are the only thing you are installing, you should be okay with your stock shocks. If you adjust them out to being as tall as they go, you can probably get away with a set of shock extensions or shocks made for a budget boost.

Stick with 2" and you are fine, more than that, it is new shock time....maybe a track bar or two

No, but they are known for quality products, so go ahead and give them a try to you can udate the rest of us.

Just reread your post, and see they are already on the way. I am interested in seeing how they turn out. I like the ajustability of all 4 corners.

That is what drew me to them. I dont know what bumper of winch or etc.. is going to go on so its always nice to have options. Also if I ever want to go really high (past the ACOS limits) You can still use them in conjuction with taller coil springs.

JKS's stuff is top drawer.

Changing your ride height will have zero effect on your droop, or shock length, etc though.

If you want to make a 2" lift out of these coil spacers...its the same as any other 2" lift, except that as you add accessories, coils sag, etc...you can adjust the rake and height, etc, as needed.

If you don't have QD's, get a set of JKS's QD's for the lift...so you'll have long enough front sway bar links...that will let you also adjust THOSE as your lift height changes too.

Get a set of longer REAR links somewhere as well....they limit droop too.

Loosen up the brake wires and lines and e-brake cable to make some slack.

Get shocks that go 15" compressed to 27" extended, and you don't need uptravel articulation robbing bumpstop extensions....in the meantime....whether you have ACOS spacers, or a stock JK, that's ALL that's limiting your droop at present. (F/R Links, brake wires and lines, e-brake cable, shock lengths...)

You can KEEP all of the above if you decide on more lift in the future...Do get the #2034 QD's for the 2.5 -6" lift though....they work on a STOCK JK too (Adjustment range is great)...so you never need another set).

If you look at the specs for shock length for the various lift kits....those 15" - 27" shocks will cover you for everything up to a long arm set up....after that, the JK will be really high of course.

The ACOS can stay on no matter what coils you add later...and will always let you fine tune the ride height/rake as desired.

Obviously, when going over 2.5- 3" of total lift...you would also add adjustable track bars, and the other things that go with a particular lift height....you just are able to keep/not waste the other stuff.

Getting the longer shocks now, and freeing up the slack to use them gives you a low lift wiith the articulation better than alot of the 4" ones out there, etc.......you'll have all the wheel travel, just not all the height. (Low COG/High articulation)
