Default JK suspension lift question...

Hey all, I have a 2007 Wrangler X - factory stock as of now...GOTTA GET IT LIFTED!

Thought coming here would be the #1 way to get the information I need!

I would like to stick 33x11.50s, maybe 35x12.50s, don't know yet. I know what backspacing, lift amount, etc. I have to do to fit them, BUT:

As far as HOW BIG of a lift I can do before needing to mess with the driveshafts, changing the 4-link bars, traction bars, etc.? I have HEARD you can go UP TO 3" suspension lift before needing to do so, but after searching online I haven't been able to find any answers on this matter.

Any help is much appreciated, and GREAT SITE from what I have seen so far!

Hi JKStell, welcome to JK-Forum.

In my opinion, you really should consider installing a set of adjustable upper and lower control arms as well as track bars at 3" of lift. Granted, you can go that big without them but you may experience some ride quality issues without them. At 4" and 37's, I would really recommend new drivelines as well.

Thanks for the reply! That definitely helps narrow down any suspicions and questions I have to a finer definition of what has to be done at certain lift heights!

THANKS AGAIN, and I look forward to browsing this site more!
