Default JK Sprintex Owners Only

I decided to start a new thread for Sprintex related content. The other thread continues to fill with off-topic and alternative issues. The only and I mean ONLY agenda in this thread is for people who run this S/C on JK to discuss. All other opinions, vendors, topics and trolling really aren't welcome and will I will request moderators delete anything that does not conform to this stated goal. I have a Sprintex installed on a 2007 JKU from RPMextreme, tune by Jon on a trinity and running through an AEV snorkel. My Jeep has almost 8" of suspension lift, 37" tires, JE Reel 1350 drive shafts, 4.88 gears, 6spd manual, Centerforce clutch & TO bearing, AEV hood, 8.5mm wires, NGK iridium plugs, one range cooler than stock with factory gap. I am also running a Banks header that is fully ceramic coated and fully wrapped/insulated to keep under hood temps down as well as protect the plug wires. Other mod list is too long, but those are the mods that matter for my end of this discussion regarding the Sprintex. With the snorkel, I believe there is a significant drop in the intake temps but also a drop in max boost. I will be running the Jeep to Moab in June from Iowa and will post data on under hood temps, intake temps, oil temps and anything I see out of the ordinary. For now, as it sits, there are no problems with the kit--no surging and with a long list of mods/weight on the Jeep it runs like a stock 2013 Rubicon with a Pentastar. For a 2007 with over a thousand additional pounds of weight, massive lift and roof rack + 37" tires--that is exactly where I wanted to be. It didn't magically transform the Jeep into an SRT Viper, it didn't grenade the Jeep; it works for the goals I set out to accomplish--which was a close to stock feel in terms of power delivery. The Jeep is fully capable of maintaining 75mph facing Iowa/Nebraska Interstate grades without downshifting from 6th. Obviously, running I70 through Colorado will be a different story, but I don't have the data for that trip yet.

I'm running a 2011 unlimited rubicon with 315/70/17 duratracs on the stock 4.10 gears, 6 speed. No issues right now, been running a tune by Jon as well, and it seems to like one of the earlier tunes the best over the most recent tune I received.

As stated in the other thread I have been interested in what has been happening with after blower temps and ways to cool them down. I will be looking for an wideband o2 sensor soon, to add to the diablo trinity when I do my data logs in order to help out with future tunes, to make this system scream

I have an AEM WB O2 running off driver side header to both the gauge and the trinity. With the headers dumping straight into the cats, had to pick a side. Not sure of a system that enables you to run two sensors and aggregate the data in a meaningful way. With temps, I think the snorkel plus having everything wrapped makes everything run much cooler. I'm in Afghanistan at the moment so I can't go run my temp meter, but I will try to post a variety of data and condition info when I'm home again. I think we lost 1PSI with the snorkel as a downside. That is an instance where I've tried to compare other systems with superchargers + snorkels but there isn't a lot of solid data on that front. I expected a performance drop with the snorkel--even running the Gen 2 AEV. With the Gen 1 snorkel, I think it would have been much worse. The Gen2 is huge!

Default Surging issues

I'm running stock 32" tires with 4.10 and Auto, at 60 MPH I'm below 2000 RPM.
AEM wide band, Autometer mechanical vac/boost, Aeroforce Interceptor x2

Questions:
What are your cruise RPM's at 60 +/-?
Do you run a Mechanical vac/boost gauge and can you tell at what vac value you transition to boost. Mine goes from vac to boost (by-pass valve closes) around -5 to -6 in/HG.
What is your vac reading at cruise?

I will provide more temp data when back home.

Thx.

AEM is digital, vac reading at cruise depends on grade/no grade. Any grade immediately goes to 1-2psi of boost. I'll reach back and see if I can get you more info on the rpm/speeds/vac levels at speed.

At 60 I'm cruising around 1800 rpm with the duratracs and 6 speed.

I have an 08 with an automatic, 5:13 gears, running 35" KM2s for now will run 37" MTRs next set. 2.2 krpm at 65mph. I love the Sprintex, mountains in Oregon are not an issue now.

You killed my thread, bro...or at least made a public declaration it is Dead?

Man...harsh....

Anyway, I run 35s with 4:10s and a 4 speed auto. Have the Sprintex and RR snorkel combo and probably the only on so far.

You have a good thread, I read every page. I just started to see a theme that was counter productive to the overall discussion that I hoped we could steer away from with this one. I wanted a place where those of us with the superchargers, installed on JKs--could post without having to deal with all the other noise. I tried to set the overall tone up front to keep it on that track.
