the opinion is right

you didnt buy the right vehicle for tight and close shift ratios, it just wont work, even the short shifters for the TJ's didnt feel that much better

i had short shifters on my other cars, and while it did feel good, it didnt really do anything for performance, spend your money elsewhere

I agree, that might be a bit hard. It is your Jeep and you can add what you want.

Only thing I would see of benefit is the added benefit of the comfort and shift stops that protect your gears from grinding much better than stock does (because there is an adjustable bolt that stops from going too deep). Now those are two thing that would warrant a question about this part. I know I am used to short throw, and find it very comfortable (heights and angles can usually be adusted to taste). I am not sure if I would buy it for that, beacuse it is a Jeep and needs that Jeep feel. But to protect the gears from slammin' hard that might be from accident, multitasking while driving, a different or unexperienced driver on my rig, I would consider it.
