I have been hearing word from others that there might be some members here having pinging issues while Superchips tuned.

I wanted to be proactive with this so I am starting this thread to provide direction to those in need of assistance.

If anyone on the forum is currently experiencing pinging in their JK's while Superchips tuned we would like to hear about it. Please give customer service a call at 888-227-2447 to log a tech support trouble ticket so engineering can do some tracking on this.

I have had pinging issues with the 93 octane mod even with 93 octane fuel. I reprogrammed with 91 octane mod and pinging went away. I just assumed that the Mapco fuel was not truly 93 octane like its label indicated.

My Superchip was updated as of 29MAY10 with same results. So i run the 91 octane mod with 93 octane fuel.

 

The issue is new to us at this point so even if you updated recently there won't be updates to fix the issue at this point till we can get some user info and tuner data.

If your 93 file is still acting this way put the call in to customer service so we can look into it for you.

We want the product to work 100%for you in all settings offered.

Mine pings too, in the 91 octane programe in fact all the programs to, just wondering if the base timing has been reset, if it has what is the process to check and adjust the base timiing back to stock?

I use the 87 tune and have no pinging issues. I have an auto trans.

 

I have an auto tranny as well. My JK was pinging with the 87 octane & tune. It went away once I changed my fuel to 92 octane and change the SC tune to 91 and just recently tow mode. Would like to go back to 87 octane and SC tune once this issue is resolved...

 

09 JKU with an auto, i have been running the 87 tune for over a year now and have never had any pinging. Works great.

 

No pinging here... Just waiting on the ability to disable o/d
