Default JK Lift project

I'm in the process of lifting my 2007 Jeep 2dr Rubicon with a the Teraflex 3" lift kit. I will be also installing the TF HD front adjustable trackbar. Once this is done my JK will be sitting on a set of 35" mud tires(Cooper STT) on Procomp alloy rims. I also bought the new Roughcountry steering stabilizer. All of these parts are being shipped and will be arriving soon, but before I start to make the actual mods here are my concerns:

1. I want my JK to ride smooth at 65-70mph (No vibrations, nor shimmys). I don't plan to drive any faster than that.
3. Keep noise to a min. No clunks or squieks
2. I want to minimize the possiblity of breaking something especially while offroading. (things like the rear track bar, drive shafts, ect)

Can I achieve this with what additional parts?

Thanks in advance!

Default lift

I am also in this same process. I have done alot of reading on this forum and it has been extremely helpfull in many ways. Even with my sickness everyone says I have developed. But I will refuse to go JKA classes (JK Anonomous). The one thing i am planning on doing when i do the lift is use track bar gussets on the axles. Since this is one of the weakest parts on the jk and are prone to tearing away from the axle housing I figure why chance it and just be proactive. If you start to get the shakes a.k.a the DEATH WOBBLE, when you hit a bump at those speeds get adjustable lower control arms for the front and rear. These are just my opinions. There are plenty of more experienced people on here to help.

Which 3" kit did you get? With or without control arms?

With out the control arms. From reading various threads in this forum it appears to me that the ideal thing to do is change all the control arms and change the drive shafts to 1350. I know, it sounds soooo expensive

Default The lift arrived!

I came home today to find that the 3" Teraflex lift I ordered had arrived a day early! Awesome. I already unpacked everything. Man this stuff is solid and HEAVY! As he was hefting the boxes out of his truck, the UPS guy took one look at the Jeep in the driveway and said, "I knew it, suspension parts!"

I also bought the front HD track bar, steering stabilizer and got the front lower and rear upper control arms to get started. Now all I have to do is save a little longer for the rims and tires. Hope to get the other four flexarms for Xmas.

Good Luck on your lift. Post some pics when you are done.

I to am in the lift business you could say. I just got a 4" BLack Dimond Lift.

I hope that there are as easy as they look to install.

Can't wait to see the pics.

jay ray if everything goes right you should not having any shimmys and whatnot at any speeds. i had an alignment done after modding and it rode perfect. at high speeds it actually seems better on the highway for me because my tiny tires bounced through all the bumpers, big tires just absorb them. with my small tires, i had the death wobble on bad bumps and highway patches. big tires, = not even close to wobbling. nothing speaks or rattles on my rig unless after a thorough cleaning and tire shine post pics when you're done, i mean when you finish your current mods.

Default still waiting

Well, I'm still waiting for everything to arrive. I went ahead and ordered a pair of 1350 driveshafts and a set of the Rock Runner control arms front and rear. I figured I should get everything now all in one shot so I can dial in my ride. I think I should have everything before Sept 25. Hopefully then I can get the mods done on that following weekend. And yes, there will be blood, I mean pics

My next concern is: should I upgrade the axel shafts? ej. Superior chromoly axel shafts

Also considering the axel gussets by Evo.

What do you guys think?

Yes to the gussets - Evo gussets are on my list of things I need. Yes, always address everything for the Jeep as a need. Don't whimp and with wants or wish go big!
