JK Jack stands & TF lift
I have a 2.5" TF Coil kit arriving next week -
Does anyone know if 15"-17" (tall) 3 ton jack stands on the frame are sufficient for getting the wheels off the ground? (suspension fully dropped)
Also for Jeepers who have experience with the TF lift - Whats the largest socket used for this install? Want to be sure I have all the tools prior.
I have found threads on the install, but curious to the actual tools required. (socket, wrench sizes)
Any info would be appreciated.

what I did was get some bricks and place the jackstands on them, perfectly safe , just make sure you get a big enough brick so they cant slip off the edge,
oh and for the socket, I think its an 18 or 19mm you need,

I just put mine on two weekends ago. Are you doing just the lift, or adding adjustable trackbars as well? If you are also doing the trackbars you will need 21mm wrench and socket.
I used two jackstands at a time, with two additional as backups. I don't trust stands.... I also had three jacks, which makes it very easy to control the axel when dropped. One for lifting the vehicle, and two under the axel to raise lower it to make springs easier to get out. It also helps to have a jack and some wood blocking available for inserting the bumpstops.

When you jack it up, jack it up at the axle. Then put the jack stands under the frame. Lower the jeep onto the jacks, and then remove the tires. You won’t have to jack the Jeep up as high and you will be able to lower the axle more. Put the tires under the Jeep for added safety.

TF Lift
I'm going the same route 2.5" TF coils with shock extenders. no CA's. thought i would try this & improve from there. my jeep won't see much off road time. I appreciate all the help & suggestions. i need an exhaust one of the members who lives about a mile away has offered to let me use his Gibson cat back duel tip to try out! he didn't like the noise level. he said if you like it keep it if not i'll take it back. I have never met the guy but i think it says a lot for JK/Wrangler owners on this forum!

I installed this lift last weekend your going to love it... I know I needed a 21mm socket for something, could have been for trackbar or LCA's though... tip for bump stops on the front passenger it will save alot of time if you put the coil on first and use something that will fit inside the coil to then push the bump stop in. I used a 4' socket ext. with a large socket on the end to then used jack to push into place. On all the others i was able to have enough clearance to just put coil over bump stops.

This is something I didn't think about, but I am currently installing a 4" lift and was wondering if they make a special floor jack that goes up a bit higher for the higher lifts so you can still jack it up by the frame. I always worry about jacking it up by the axle unless it is under the pumpkin.
