Question JK height with 4"- 6" lift and 37s??

Just sold my CJ7 with SOA and 35s. Planning to build 2dr JK. Want 4" -6" lift w/37s but concerned about Garage Height requirements. I would greatly appreciate some actual vehicle heights (4"/6" w/ 37s). Thank you very much to anybody who takes the time to measure their vehicle's height.

Fairly certain your going to need an 8ft garage door. At 92" I don't think my Jeep will fit anymore, at least not with the hi-lift in place. I'll find out on Saturday.

Im not sure of exact height but mine is right about 7'. I asked the same quest. b4 i got mine so a search might be helpful.

Im on teraflex 4" w/ 1"m.o.r.e. bodylift and super swamper 37's. Itll make a 7' garage door but barely. Im building (or planning) my garage w/ 8' doors so I can put on a rack or bigger tires w/out a worry.

Thumbs up

Thanks for reply. Your Jeep is 92" actual? I did not expect that height. What are you running? My garage is 82" and my previous CJ fit with 6" on
35s. I did not expect that much of a difference.

He's got to be saying his jeep is that tall at the top of his hi-lift jack. I have a 4'' lift on 35s and mine is 6' 4''. I get in a standard hight 2 car garage w/3 1/2'' to spare on top.

Yep, think the jack is pushing the hieght up a bit but i could be wrong. Seems alot taller than mine w/ similar specs.

your cj's body from wind shield to skirt is lower profile than the JK. my 2 door has 4'' and 35s and fits in a standard garage with 1'' to spare. different lifts give different hights dispite their size. bumpers/ winches give some sag also. you'll likely never know untill you try your set up. would it stop you regardless? as for me, i just get it done and hope someone or something isnt sleeping outside.

Thats running 5" of lift front and 6" rear with the 35s. They've set the suspension to 5" front and rear and have the 37s on now, I don't have any new pics yet. Top of hi-lift is 92" from the pavement on the 35s. (I asked after I saw the photos, I didn't do the measurements)

Thanks to all! Set on having 37's but may not be a reality. This vehicle will not be a daily driver so it will have to fit in the garage. 35's just do not seem to do JK justice. I have yet to get up close with 35's on JK, but got close to one with 37s and 5 1/2" and fell in love.

realizing different lifts/ bumpers etc effect height, still holding ourt hope sombody will respond with 37s under 82".

Again, thanks!!
