As Karl stated, I'll use a long impact extension and use the steering wheel with the help of a friend to push this unit bearings off if they're stuck.

Works every time and takes literally no effort.

I have a TeraFlex 2 1/2. Not sure what you mean when you say put socket of the axle nut. I have had the axle nut loose and was beating the hub bolts. Passenger side was fairly easy to break loose. Going to try again in the morning, if I still can't get it I'll text you for some help! Shafts definitely have some corrosion, just don't want to have to change them just yet if I don't have to.

Yes, hub bolt, sorry. And yep- put the axle nut on a couple turns for when it comes loose.

When I pulled my shafts/ bearings, I went on ahead and scuffed them down and painted with Ospho rust inhibitor followed by paint. OCD to the max.

2 hours so far this morning tried the socket trick a couple times no joy. Cleaned my bolts up and now alternating between the FWD and AFT bolts with a socket on the head, rotating wheel each time. Axle nut is flush so pretty sure it has moved some. Using BFH😡

Soak, soak, soak the bearing with PB. I changed my inner axle seals and axle u-joints last year. The driver side came apart like clockwork...but the passenger side was so seized with rust it took 2+ days to get the hub off the shaft. I beat that biatch with a 3lb then a 5lb sledge. It was a total workout. But finally she came undone. I was beginning to think I was gonna have to press it off. Just don't get discouraged and stop short of the 8 pounder. Ha. Good luck.

P.S. Mine was initially seized in the housing. That was one day of beating and cussing. The 2nd day was remiving the hub from the shaft.

Thanks I was beginning to think this was hopeless, tried using a bearing puller with crow bar holding the axle hub studs, bent at least one so she definitely is coming off.

I had luck with mine using a 1in wood chisel and a couple of taps with a small hammer. Good luck.
