Default Jeep will not go past 3k RPMs

So this morning I was driving to work and hit a 2 foot puddle of standing water. Immediately after that the jeep had no power while moving and at an idle RPMs would not exceed 3k. It was just a straight loss of power even with the pedal all the way to the floor. Had it towed to the dealership and a 100 dollars later they said it was the fuel pump. I had it towed back to my house so I could do It myself and it just doesn't seem like its the fuel pump. I didn't suck water up in the motor because I have done that in another vehicle and know what to look for. Does anyone know of anything I can check before I drop the tank.

Background: 2011, 6 speed, 19838 miles, afraid intake, MBRP off road exhaust and super chips 87 octane tune.
Also warranty ran out 2 months ago so it's on me to fix it.

With out a fuel pressure gauge it's hard to tell if the pump is bad. Try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes to see it it straitens itself out. Other thing you can check is the exhaust temp high( can you hold your hand at the end of the tail pipe) I've seen catalytic converts come apart on the inside after blasting through puddles.

Just got a fuel pressure test kit to test the fuel pump. I guess I'll just be without my jeep till I figure it out. It's just hard for me to call it the fuel pump since it will sit and idle all day. I'm also going to give the TPS a love tap just in case.

I haven't received a lot of hits but toady when I got home I tried to start it and it will not even idle now. I guess I'm going to try the fuel pump this weekend. Unless anyone has anymore thoughts.

Possibly a fuel pressure regulator as well. Pump seems more likely though.

X2 on the bypass/return regulator. Usually if it isn't fuel supply it's a clogged exhaust, did the sudden temp change muck up your converters?

+1 on the TPS. Its part of the throttle nobody and I had similar symptoms when mine went bad. You aren't getting any engine codes?

Also, try cleaning TPS, computer, and other plugs with contact cleaner.
