Motech. That company has it all figured out for LS swaps into Jeeps. Google LS Wrangler.

If i had the choice I would do the ls1 over the hemi any day. Much better motor imo...

Default engine swap

I'm no expert and won't pretend to be, but if i had mine paid off and the budget, I would seriously consider a diesel swap. All the torque you need without having to buy stocks in Exxon.

Personally when I can do my engine swap I think I'm gonna go with an LS1 swap from JeepSpeedShop because the price is reasonable for the kit and supposedly its smog legal in CA.

I wasn't necessary talking about power. I feel Chevy builds a better motor that will last longer. This is from experience. My opinion of course...

The LS-1 is the best engine for the swap bar none...the Hemi is weak and the chrysler tranny is garbage. The LS-1 4L80e conversion rocks. My full size 99 Z-71 would eat Rams all day long and in the JEEP they have been reported to return 20mpg+ and 400 hp with a simple CAI, Headers and free flow exhaust...Give your JEEP a heartbeat!!!!!!!!

I had a 2007 2dr sport which I did a 6.1 SRT8 Hemi swap in 2008 and was happy with the power , the only thing that I did not like was the gear change from 2nd to 3rd and this was an issue with all srt8 engines at that time, the rpm just goes down then catches up again which was bad.
