OH NO!! Not another gear thread!
again thanx for any input i know this subject has been beated into a pulp.
Seriously, so instead of browsing about a dozen threads in the last week or two let's start yet another...

Try a quick search, narrow it to only the Modified JK Tech section. Plenty of opinions on manual vs auto vs tire height. But, it all depends on YOU. It's YOUR opinion that matters. Lots of people are happy with their stock 3.73 or 4.10 gears and 35" tires. Some, (myself included) would like to go higher than 5.13's.

What will the rpm difference be between 4.88 and 5.13 gears? I don't recall the numbers, though lots of posts have mentioned it. 200-300 rpm sound about right? It isn't a significant number. Certainly not up in the 1000's, so there will not be a 'screaming at highway speed' noticeable difference...

find a set of used 4:10's. You've got the 6 speed.
