Default Issues installing lift

Ok I was installing the teraflex 2.5 inch lift and accidentally removed the control arms, don't ask how. the axel shifted and control arms don't fit back in. Does anyone know how to get it back to the right position?

I'd say just muscling the axle around... The tough part will be the bolts if they fell of inside the frame.

There's no bolts inside the frame on the control arm brackets.

Use a jack to lift and rotate the axle the correct direction.

A come along and or ratchet straps also come in handy when you need to reposition the axle.

yep,

place the floor jack under the yoke, it will help control the axle.

This... its not a big deal you unbolted the lower control arms... its pretty hard to install the springs without unbolting them. I got mine in w/o unbolting but scratched the heck out of them, kind of wish I just unbolted the lower control arms b/c now I am going to have surface rust all over my coils.

one of the easiest ways to have fine control and mounting an axle is to possition the axle so it nearly aligns with the control arms with a floor jack. Then place jack stands under the axle tubes on each side to hold it vertically in place. You can then place the floor jack under the Tie Rod and make MINOR rotations that allow the control arms to be aligned with the bolt holes. BY NO MEANS SHOULD YOU LIFT THE AXLE BY THE TIE ROD!

Thanks guys. The ratchet straps worked great. Now I can't seem to get the damn trackbar into the mount from teraflex. The holes just dont line up. Any ideas on that?

I dont have an answer, just chiming in to say it took me forever to install that exact same lift. If it could go wrong, it did.
