Default Issue with locker 4L bypass

So I followed the instructions on another thread where it said to tap the purple wires and essentially have a switched ground.
Well the switches work and for the rear the light flashes, but the front doesnt light up or flash. I hear the relay working and I hear the locker actuator kicking in, but no light.
I have tried just grounding it out straight from the relay but the doesn't work either. Still makes the noise but no light.
When I put it in 4L and use the oem switches the rear goes solid but the front flashes until I move in reverse a little.
This is really annoying me because it's so simple but it's just not working the way I would like.
Anyone have any idea why this would be doing this?

When tapping into the purple wire to a ground and bypassing the computer to use the lockers when ever you want. The lights on the dash are a little different.

When you engage the lockers with your new bypass switch to ground it will engage the electro magnet in the locker and you will here the click. But the teeth of the locker need to be lined up to slide together. Moving forward and reverse (slowly) let's them line up. Then the light on the dash will blink letting you know the diff is locked and ready for action. Same with unlock, light will blink until it is bind free and fully disengages.
