Velcro discs on the two center vents. Flip it over to hide the velcro.
Note: if you run the heat, you won't want the iphone there long or it will over heat and shut down... but its a great location... just put the other side of the velcro disc on the back of your phone. Lowes or Home Depot sell the velcro discs that fit the vent perfectly.

...And thank you for that little gem of assistance.

I bought a bracket for mine that has a case with mounting adapter. It works great. I got it at Best-buy but can't remember the brand. I realize it's in an 07, but gives you an idea anyways.

Heres mine. Cheap $5 wallmart vent mount that I transformed. It comes with everything you see here except RTV, which I used to bond it to the console. It's super sturdy and works great.

No one said ANYTHING about using the phone. The question was about location.

And for the record - the iphone is a SMARTPHONE... it has music, nav, and other goodies that come in handy on the road. Mounting it in a manner that makes these useful makes sense, eh?

(ssshhh... they also have bluetooth for hands free...)
