Interior Spare Tire Mount?
Driving around in my JKU with my temporarily mounted heavy a$$ tire on my stock carrier, I got behind an old 1990's Cherokee with the spare tire mounted in the back cargo area. My aha moment....What about an interior mount option for a spare tire on a JK? I do like the look of a bob-tail JK, but would need to keep my cargo area available for work gear (guns, reports and other stuff). I run a 33.5" tire and would be able to fit the tire vertically along the driver side, but am not a fab guy and am wondering if anyone has encountered an interior mounting kit for the JKU that would accomplish this.....??????

I was thinking about this same thing. I just think it would take up more space then I would want to give. 33.5 is not really that big of a tire so i think the stock mount should hold up ok. but if you do like the look I have not found any kits for this but dont think it would be to hard to fab up. pretty much some ubolts around the rool bar and a mounting plate for the wheel. might be able to buy one of those adapters that raise the factory mount and run some u bolts thru it to your roll bar. I might try this soon as I like the look aswell.

The next is a fairly complex mod, but probably more along the lines of what you had imagined
