Integrity of OEM hitch receiver vs. bumper with built in receiver
Looking to get rear bumper/tire carrier. Wondering about the integrity of the OEM receiver
vs. one built into a bumper. Seems as though most bumpers have one built in. I would like
to keep the OEM receiver but options there appear to be limited. Are the built in receivers
equal in class to the OEM? I'm not sure. All input welcome. Leaning towards Body Armor or
Rampage. Rampage requires purchase of Rampage bolt on receiver. Thanks for your input.

They vary so you best bet is call the manufacturer first. I picked up the Smittybilt XRC which has the built in receiver and it is class III 5000 / 500 - tow / tongue weight.

Second this...I've noticed that some say "not rated for towing". Just another option to throw out there...JCR. They have a nice rear bumper that allows the use of the factory receiver. Pics on their website. JCRoffroad I'm not a paid spokesman just a fan of their products. I have one of their front bumpers and the quality is top notch.

I'll echo what everyone else said in that most are not rated for towing so better to be safe than sorry. I did also notice that one of the Poison Spyder rear bumper/tire carrier combos allows for using the factory hitch.
