Installing mirror relocation brackets for a 2011/ problems in general?
Has anybody done the mirror relocation for the 2011 yet? Does the adjustable mirror controls or defrost features pose any issues?
Has anybody hit any 2011 specific issues for aftermarket stuff? I hit one with the underseat secure box. Didn't fit with the airbag stuff and the 2011 seat frame.

For my 2011 I am thinking about either the mirrors talked about here:

Or getting the TJ mirrors that mount to the soft doors. That way I can leave the stock mirrors on the stock doors.

I haven't started the install yet but I have the adjustable mirrors with defrost so there has to be some wiring there. I am happy to hear that your install went well. Gives me hope for a quick easy install.

Just an update:
I installed the rugged ridge mirror relocation brackets on my jeep. I have mirrors with defrost that are adjustable from the dash. I had to cut the wire to use the RR brackets. I left enough to reconnect if I choose to put them back on the door but for now I am running without these luxuries.
My only idea is to put spade connectors on the wires after you cut them to make switching them back and forth easy. I believe you could unplug them behind the glass of the mirror and pull them out but that and the thought of getting them back together seem like a huge PIA for me.
