Default Installing headers...other additions to the exhaust system?

I couldn't resist the sale Rusty's just had on headers. Once I get them installed what other changes should I make to the exhaust sytem? Try to keep a true dual system all the way out?
How about keeping the rest of the system stock (for now) and replacing the muffler with a Dynomax?
Suggestions?

Let us know how they turn out. That's an unbeatable price

Just went to Rusty's to see what you bought. That is a good price. A lot of people with shorty headers complain of heat issues. Especially on the right side. Heater hoses, spark plug wires and battery box. The pictures shows an included heat shield on what looks to be the left side header. Am I looking at it wrong? Does the right side have one too? Most of the heat problems will be on your right side. Just my opinion. I have Ripp Headers and I was more worried about the battery box and the heater hoses on the right side. I was not concerned with anything on the left side. Maybe I am looking at the picture wrong. If they don't come with a heat shield on the right side you could think about having them ceramic coated or making your stock heat shield fit by trimming it if nessassary. I am guessing your not wanting to spend much more money since your waiting on the rest the exhaust.

The right side is also the harder side to install. Took off the innner fender guard to make access much easier.

I have a set of ceramic shortly I am about to install. Being that they are ceramic, will I need to worry about the heat issue on the right?

As stated JK's put out a lot of heat, I would suggest insulated boots for the plugs. Congrats!

Thanks for the replies.

I just today installed a Dynomax cat-back system with their new VT muffler. (I'll be posting a video soon)
After looking over the factory exhaust set-up, I think I'll keep everything the same. I mainly want the headers for an annoying exhaust manifold leak.

Got the headers today...very fast delivery thanks Rusty's

more to come.....
