Default Installing end caps on Rugged Ridge bumper?

Whats the easiest way to install the end caps with the center section already installed? There is very little room up there to fit a socket wrench. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I am having clearance issues with the farilead bolts. The one shipped with the superwinch lp8500 will not fit....the front of the winch is really close to where the farllead mounts. I ordered a Rubicon Express RUBICON BILLET FAIRLEAD RE1025. Does anyone have this installed? Pictures would be great.

Anyone with the Rugged Ridge bumper have this issue with the fairlead? If so, how did you fix it?

Thanks.

Had the same problem... I simply reversed the bolt. In other words feed the bolt from the inside out. Gives you about an extra 1/8" which solved my problem. If that didnt work I was going to make a notch in the winch housing to accomodate the bolt head.

I would take the bumper off to install the winch (I know I had to because the holes werent lining up) at that time put the end caps on.

You can install the end pieces while the bumper is attached. I had to remove them while on a trail. You just have to use a open ended 3/4" wrench

A 19 mm ratchet wrench works great to install/remove end caps and on the fairlead I bought a 1/4" shorter bolt with a shallow nut

I have the same fairlead on mine...what I ended up doing was shifting the winch over to the other set of holes for the PowerPlant. Worked just fine and gave me enough clearance. I understnad your problem thought, on the RE fairlead it uses countersunk bolts from the outside in, so you can't reverse it like the RR instructions tell you to.

I put it on the part of the bumper above the fairlead and drilled 2 holes...since I have the hoop, it basically fills the space where the winch is. I liked it there because it doesn't hang down when off-roading and doesn't cover anymore of my grille since the winch is already blocking that area.

If you can wait till sat I will show you mine. There's a pretty cool kit from Cooltech but I've heard of people using flat pieces of plastic and mag light holders that clamp on the rollers. If you want I can give you a pic tomorrow (I'm at work right now).

I have one like the cool tech, but I think it was mad bt Olympic or someone like that. It works pretty well, but the cooltech is cheaper if I remember correctly.

Also, I use a wratcheting wrench on taking off my ends, but one of the nuts doesn't have enough room to fit the wrench so I hgave to remove it the old fashioned way,
