The quality was good it has a rough paint finish.
I spent about 6 hours mounting the winch and bumper plus cleanup of the garage. Over one hour was in the garage part as I need to set up my portable heater then I had to clean up the mess from everything melting.
The biggest pain was removing the plastic lower cover.

Which of the Smittybilt winches did you purchase, and where from. I saw on another post that you also got a lifetime warranty with it for an extra price. I am looking at the XRC10.

I have the 8000 lb winch. 4WD is where i got it from you have to ask for the warranty when you order.
My local club gets a 10% discount when you purchase plus a small kickback directly to the club.
I thought about the 10,000 lb one but every time I have been involved with winching they were always 8,000 lb units and always had wire on the spool and there were no problems. So I save the $$ and spent it on the CB.
Cheers
