dan @ oc motorsports is knowledgeable but that whole gang does not care to help out or try and get your business. partly why we've spent almost 12K at rebel off road and not them. bunch of idiots.

How are your gears now? I just installed 5:13 gears on my 2DR JK and they have a whine when coasting...

X2. Not trying to bring up an old thread but i have the same issue only when coasting. Ive looked around and some people say its normal and some say its not. Im not quite sure what to think? Anyone have some input as to why its when coasting?

X 3...

I had 4.88s installed a while back. I started hearing a loud whir when I would coast and decelerate about 3 weeks ago. Took it back to the installers and they checked everything. Turned out the pinion bearings in the rear were bad and they replaced them. I can still hear a slight whir coming from somewhere. It's louder after my Jeep has set a while and I just start driving and gets quieter as I drive. I have been told the same. It's just the gears. I'm just not sure.
