Default Im an Idiot, Tire pressure monitors gone

So 4" lift 35"tires and I didnt realize my shop didnt switch my tires pressure monitors. After I have sold my stock wheels and tires and about 2 months have passed my tires pressure monitor light came on.

what are my options. I dont really want to buy new ones because after buying them and having my rims balanced again it will likely cost me another $250

I was wondering about buying an OBDII reader. I found ones that plug into my iPhone and say they read and clear codes. Would a reader be able to clear the stupid tire pressure codes? and how long do they typically stay off?

thanks

A procal would be the easiest lesser expensive route. Check out Northridge 4X4 they are sponsors and have great service and pricing.

Could just buy the superchips and get some real benifit if your going to spend money to make the light go out. I did same thing. I had some wheels swapped out and they didnt put my sensors in. I noticed the light but it never accured to me that I didnt have any sensors. haha Oh well.

According to Discount Tire, a shop is legally obligated to transfer TPM's from a stock rim to an aftermarket rim. They can also charge to do so.

These monitors are apart of the vehicles safety system, thus they can not take them out. You may want to ask that shop why they failed to do so.
