Guys some of this stuff could be that cheap ethanol mixed winter gas. My friend was getting his gas a Costco when they switched and dropped from 220 miles a tank to 160 miles a tank in his TJ/LJ. It was the gas as he went back to 220 buying from another station.

This sounds about right. I used to average 17.5 no matter what I did and after it started getting cold, dropped me to 14.5. Mines an 07 six speed, 35" trail grapplers at 50 psi with a superchips controller and a 4" lift. I did have an egr code pop on recently so that could have some affect too

At 2500 miles I changed everything just about, 6" teraflex elite long arm suspention, fox 2.0 reservoir shock, teraflex speed stops, sleeved & gusseted, 38 x 13.5 x 18 toyos, 9.5 warn winch Smittybuilt front & rear bumpers, ATX wheels after market .250. Wall drive lines. So as you see I've added a lot of-weight and still running 3.73 gears and the jeep still had some balls! But I was having transmission issues, "search for gears/shit points" and mileage dropped to 15 mpg in city. So 3.73 not doing for me so I re-geared to 4.88s, opt for the bigger R&P and better mileage I thought? I went to a G2 gears now my mileage is 13-14 mpg in city! Worst ;-( I did the pro cal right off the bat! Double check speed with on board nav and it perfect! Tire pressure is around 35 psi. Are G2 gears crap? I'm a little lost!

If I drive 50 or more miles (all highway) I can get it up to 13mpg.....but I don't make those long trips too often.... Only now and again.... That's how I know this lol
