No offense to OP, but your opinion of the stuff you pay for and put on holds 0 cred, especially since your first post before even using it touts RC greatness. You don't need to post here to feel better about your entry level purchase. Reading is tough its ok. He stated he has used them in the past.

A 2.5" $1000 lift? Seriously, thats a joke right? Why bother with a lift at all. Go all out and look awesome or dont bother. I get compliments everytime my "cheap" JK hits the street or beach.

As most of us just posted, we dont care about running the super secret rock trail to the beach where no one can go. Whats the point of that? Are you a hermit? You dont like girls in bikinis? The point is my ride looks more awesome at the beach than the super tough hardcore trail tough guy's Jeep. And,,,, I did it for a lot less money.
Good job on the sarcasm, looks like you have an issue w/ owning a RC lift too. Could care less what u run and thought that was pretty obvious in the post. The point is in this jeep world where u r always building, why not spend the money on a buildable base. Good for you and your super trick poser ride. I guess your right the majority is in the wrong and the minority that saved a lot with cheap lifts are on top of it all. Personally id be embarrassed posting any of the garbage u posted. Let me guess, loud stereo, no winch and stock driveshafts too.... The guys who get it don't give a crap about how their rig looks, just that it gets them through the trail. A black one w/6" of lift and 37s, yeah you won't get it. Come to the west coast enjoy these trails and you might figure it out. What do I know I'm a forty something that uses his toys for what they were meant to do and was never into posing.

I use my RC 2.5 for what is was intended as well here in Colorado and I'm sure our trails compare fairly well. I have stock driveshafts as well.

I'm not offended at all. As said before you are posting garbage. Its fine to use a budget lift kit, i wont ignore someone running an el-cheapo kit in the shop. I'll show them way to make it better. Dont trash talk the guys who know their Jeeps inside and out. I'm still on stock drivelines because they havent given me any reason to get rid of them, but i realize they are a weak point. Its common sense.

Alot of the 2.5 kits increase down travel, keeping center of gravity low and the ride stable. Most of the expensive ones come with adjustable controls arms and heim joints, further increasing strength and reliability.

I could go on for hours about it, looking cool is up to the eyes judging it. I would look at your rig and laugh. I'd be laughing at you, the owner, for being so arrogant.

I love girls in bikinis, but i prefer the dirty ones wearing camo and a team realtree baseball cap.

Thats just me!

This entire thread started out as a giant troll attractant.

RC lifts are fine. You can wheel with them. You can look "cool at the beach" in them. If you are running MOAB or something out west, you might get by for a while. You might get by for a few years.

But for many on this forum they want to push their JKs a little further. I think we all can agree when you want to upgrade, you get what you pay for. I'm not a fanboy of any particular brand name, but quality parts that allow for adjustable suspension and drivetrain make a JK an amazing thing on the trail.

I don't recall anyone knocking you wanting to look good riding down the beach. But when you start attacking people about wanting to ride a double secret probation trail with rocks and hardcore stuff, you come off sounding like a jealous douchebag. So chill with the attacks and let's get back to telling each other how cool we all are for buying JKs and that we are masters of the universe..........................or the beach.

Haha, nice. I like you don't get the point of the original post. 100% of the real guys Jeeping could care less of brands of lifts. You're more likely to get finger fiddled about your brands by beach posers, then jeep people, irony at its best. When the guys who actually built their rigs come on here and politely suggest other options in the interest of others building their rigs and explaining sometimes it makes more sense to spend a little more at the start. Others get smart ass syndrome, talk junk and offer nothing, but a tough guy rant. The Krazy guy did more to ensure why not to go with their lift then go with. I'm sure others want to hear from guys reliably wheeling w/RC and not cruising the beach!! I was giving the sarcasm back to the Krazy guy and was not bashing others building on the cheap. I just found it ironic. My opinion is if u r going to run a 6" lift, you better not plan on going cheap. Going w/stock driveshafts is fine on a small lift. I'm on a 3" TF and went w/ds, because I didn't want to chance weaklinks on the trail, but that was just my preference. I agree it wasnt mandatory.

Question.....I'm on 35s with a BB and threw some rubi shocks on cuz they ride pretty good.....am I a poser because my jeep isn't scratched up, have a winch, or aftermarket drive lines? I've made it through some pretty decent trails here in Washington, idk if that counts. Oh and my XJ (play toy) has a system in it....but I think the fact I can't even open two of the doors due to them getting bashed in by a stump balances the poser-ness out. How does this work? I'm confused.

To the OP I like what you were attempting to do with this thread before it became a BRO-down!

Cheers y'all!

I am buying the rc 3.5 series 2 on monday for my jk for me it works , I believe you buy what fits your needs and budget. But I think if your gonna build a serious crawler then instead of spending thousands on a lift you would build your own control arms or fab your own suspension. I guess what Im trying to say is some people need to stop bashing what works for other people and just appreciate that they are out there doin the best they can with what they have . We are all out there in our jeeps doin what we enjoy and trying to keep what we do alive and protected from the tree hugging jack asses that are trying to shut down our trails.
