I know lots of people on here have Skyjacker kits and like them but I would do a search on the kits here on the forum, you will find tons of threads about them.

Noooooo!!!!! Lol.... not a Skyjacker lift if you're gonna get a lift kit, do it right. AEV 3.5 DualSport SC with the highsteer kit. Or Teraflex, RockKrawler, Rubicon Express.......anything but Skyjacker, haha

The older skyjacker lift kit didn't have the re-enforcement bracket, which caused the track bar bracket mounts to crack/break from the added leverage/stress. Looks like they updated their kit. Based on what I heard/read from others they would call the lift "sky crapper". for a few hundred dollars more you can get a better lift kit such as AEV, TeraFlex, Rock Krawler, Currie etc. I've had my TeraFlex lift kit on for 3 yrs and never had a problem.

the skyjacker 2.5 kit is what i went with for my first lift. was not happy with it. after a year and a half the springs had sagged and atleast one of the shocks had crapped out,so i went with rockkrawler. when it comes to suspension i am a firm believer in you get what you pay for.. for that kind of money you can get a much nicer kit.
thats my .02
p.s. my current set up is RK lower front control arms, rk 3.5 springs jks adj trackbars, RK tierod, and teraflex shocks and i have been very happy with my jk's performance. highway it rides and handles nice and does very well with the constant abuse ive been throwing at it on the trail.

What tire size are you going to, and have you browsed the FAQ's yet? There is some info there on the 'recommended' components for various lift heights (pay attention to the driveshaft recommendations), lift height vs tire height, gearing, etc. Then get a handle on what all of the various components do so you can make some semi-informed decisions.
Concerning that specific lift, do a quick search on Cam Bolts and see what you come up with! Are you ok with trackbar brackets, or would you be better off with adjustables? What will you do about the stretched brake lines? When you blow a driveshaft, what are your plans for pinion correction?

I hate being such a newbie.... ughhhh. I currently have nitto trail grappler tires I think 285/60R is the size on my stock rims. I want something that is durable and dependable. Im already convinced skyjacker is indeed skycrapper. I will look at other brands thank you for all the help. It wish it was easier to do this lol I mean if I get a full kit it should come with everything I need right? I think im going to go with just a 3.5" lift not the 4-5" I saw some by rock crawler and AEV.
