i did k&n, borla exhaust and superchip believe me its awsome. the superchip really satisfied me for more than a year but now i want more so am thinking about ripp SC.

and about the air intake and the exhaust you will only get 4 or 5 hp from each which is good...my opinion

i have the AEM Brute Intake. its ok. gives great sound and probably a little extra boost, but for me I wish I didn't have it. When I bought my jeep, someone had already installed it. I wish they spent the little extra money and bought a snorkel instead. They aren't that much more and they kind of act like a CAI with it getting the air so far away from the engine. With the snorkel, you won't have to worry about your engine being so susceptible to hydro-locking. I hope to switch over to a snorkel one day and lose the CAI. That's just my take and thought with it. Hope it helps.

I noticed a day and night difference with a regear. But it is a little investment.

You can't just re-gear the rear, you have to do both axles. If you can't afford to do 35s, lift and re-gear at the same time, I suggest you wait and save your money, or consider 33s as an interim. You won't need to re-gear for 33s (you will need spacers or adjust your steering stops for 33s).

you can do just the rear, but dont attempt to use 4hi or lo. dont waste your money on intake or exhaust. get a programmer to squeeze out some power and then save for gears.

and that is at the crank. you might see 5 hp at the wheels from both.

Sorry, I meant to write "re-gearing" not "rear gearing" in the earlier post. I would do both front and rear at the same time.
Thanks

In my opinion, the flashpaq is certainly the best and possibly cheapest mod you could do to help your stock settings make your rig run better/efficiently. Also, since you mentioned you want to go to 35's in the future, the flashpaq will be able to recalibrate your speedometer for the larger tire size. As for CAI's and exhausts, a lot of guys have many different opinions on these. Some think they give more HP, torque and MPGs, but it's debatable. I myself have a CAI but haven't noticed many gains other than the engine revs louder so I'm considering actually pulling it out and seeing what happens... But if you ask me, the flashpaq is an incredible first mod!

Hope this helps ya out!

I agree with these guys with the only exception being that if you want to spend money first, spend it on the flashpaq. You will need it anyway once you regear so go ahead and get it now and play with the programming. You will get more instantanious power from the programming while you wait on your gears. Then, after you have enough money GET YOUR GEARS DONE! I am running 35s and I have an auto also. I went with 5.13s and love'em. My gas mileage has been returned to 20-21 on hwy and 17-18 in town. Those two things are the single best upgrades in my book. Oh, and keep in mind the Jeep is basically a rolling brick. The more aerodynamic you can keep your mods the better off you will be.

Does a power chip or reprogramming effect the factory warranty??
