3.25" Rusty's with 35s I love the look and I get great flex.

3"+ of lift and flat fenders certainly cries for 37" tires. 35s and that much negative space in the wheel wells isn't what I would cal ideal, and tends to start tipping to the roller skaty look of a too much lift for the meats JK.

37 x 13.5 x 18 should work fine with your 1.5" spacers.

I do run 1.5" spacers....when that 37 13.50 is fully flexed, will I experience any rubbing anywhere?

I definitely don't want to look like a big silver roller skate!

I wouldn't believe anything that couldn't be resolved with some minor trimming or an added washer to the steering stops.

I'm only running 35s at the moment and replaced the springs of my 3" FT lift with the stock springs and a 1" body lift when I went to flat fenders. I totally subscribe to the LCG write ups of planman and the springs go back on when I move to 37s and dump the body lift.

Will that fatty tire be ok on a stock sahara rim?

I've mentioned in a lot of threads that particular tire because of it's lower service description than the 17" version. Often the owners of the 17" version will complain of the rigidity of the sidewall and not being able to let enough air out for a smooth ride. The 18" version will take about 6 more PSI to properly inflate as opposed to the 17" version. That goes a long way in assuring a contact patch without deflection, good wear and ride comfort.

There shouldn't at all be an issue withe wheel width as the sidewalls are capable of dealing with about 40% more stress than stock tires. Plus, downsizing wheel with below recommended is the poor mans beadlocks.

I'm not 100% understanding what your saying...Are you saying these tires run rough on the streets....You can't air them down because of a stiff sidewall....?

I currently run Nitto Trail Grapplers and they ride very nice aired up or aired down.

Please clarify so I can understand. Thanks!

The Toyo 37x17s run rough because they are a very rigid tire with a 131 service description. The Toyo 37x18s have a 124 service description, which in round numbers they will take about 6 more psi for even tread wear.

The issue with the Toyo 37x17s is people will often find themselves needing to reduce the psi to well under 25 for on road use, leading to deflection of the contact patch. That tire sidewall strength might be admirable for off road use, but on road it's not going to ride so well. The Toyo 37x18s are much closer to an appropriate fit for the relatively light JK, and either tire is more than capable of handling what a JK can dish out.
