Default I wanna go bigger

This is my first jeep so I'm looking for some advice. I wanna go to a 37 tire. My question is what all do I need to do I don't take it off road it only sees four wheel drive when it snows. I only put about 5000 miles a year on my vehicle. Oh yeah it's a 2012 2 door sport. Thanks for any advice

famous last words imo. It looks badass and its a beast but if you want to do it rught. Your getting into driveshafts, axles, gears, tire carrier, big expensive lift and it will ride bad...i know a guy who went from 33.s and a 2'' lift to 37,s and 7" of lift and sold it a few months later because he felt to unsafe driving it and it was no longer a fun jeep. Im not trying to talk you out of anything but just somethings to consider

On the other hand they really do look badass

3.5+ suspension lift, C-Gussets, Gears, Driveshafts, Flat Fenders, and possibly Hydroassist steering. If its just a mall crawler the list expands if you start offroading.

If you're going to strickly drive it on the road then just lift it and regear it. Probably want a 4" kit and you may end up needing some adjustable control arms to help w/ driveline angles. With 37's I'd go 5.13's w/ a manual or 5.38's with an auto...

The RK 2.5 lift says u can clear 37s with flat fenders so I wouldn't have to change drive shafts would I ?

Dude, not for nothing...2nd hand info is usually not the best. I have a 3.5 inch Rock Krawler lift and 37's. The Jeep not only looks badass but rides as good as when I had the 35's.

Yes, it isnt cheap to do properly. W/o wheeling it, only need the lift and tires and for a little axle protection.. gussets. Other than that, you are good to go...

sorry, not jumping on you but what you posted about ride is not accurate

Sorry, depending on your gearing yes you may need to regear. I have stock 3.73's and it isnt awfully bad. I am changing to 5.13's though. I am also replacing my front driveshaft, just as extra protection.

decent 4" lift $2,000 - $3,000
gears $2,000 - $3,000
Tires x 5 $2,000
Rear Bumper with Tire Carrier $1,000
Gussets + install $300 - $500

Eventual Costs
Worn UJoints = Upgrade to Chromoly shafts
Drive lines
Ball Joints
Steering

starting cost $7,300 to $9,500 + eventual extra costs.

and I can't wait to wear out my 35's so I can go to 37's next!!!
