Thinking about adding this as my next purchase, anyone care to comment on them and/or have pics? The new KC Apollo Series are price right, IMO.

I heard they are flimsy and rattle around if you put on lights bigger then 7".

Thanks - maybe I'll look at the windshield mounts instead.

I had a pair on the front of my Jeep before changing to an aftermarket bumper. I had a pair of 6" KC Slimlites on them and it worked great. I can't speak to larger lights bouncing around, but that's likely going to happen with any mount. After all, that's a big light!

Do what you want. I liked mine and would still be using, if I didn't take the OEM bumper off for a steel one.

i made a set just like them from 3/16 plate. they flexed too much for my Hella 4000's. They would be great for a light, plastic housing.

This would be a better option for mounting lights

This is what I used. Got the black one. Took 20 minutes to put it on. I mounted a pair of PIAA 520 on it. They are 6" metal lights. Wife picked it out. I like it. Cost $200 which is a bit much I think, but it is solid. Maybe you could find a used one or just a vendor willing to give you a price break. 6 months ago it was only $175. Not sure what happened, but I didn't get my Jeep until 3 weeks ago.

From someone who has actually owned a set of them, I can tell you that they worked great for me for nearly two years. No rattle. I would highly recommend.

I had them with hella 700s. there was a slight vibration but still worked great. The hardware rusts a little as well. but they are a sturdy mount, i had to take them off as they did not fit when i got the RR xhd front bumper. now they join the pile of stuff in my garage lol
