For what jack the jeep up and put the spring back in , easiest thing to do and it won't cost you money

I would say the dealership put it up on a rack and they slide the stops under the frame I'd say that's how it happened.

Change out the shocks or install limiting straps. The straps would be my first go. Cheaper, work well and helpful for future full articulation.

I have a Rancho 4" Sport Lift that came complete with shocks engineered for the lift so I don't get the "popping sound from the rear". My springs won't shift either.

What I did find was that every time I brought her in for an oil change I would find the rear axle breather disconnected when I got home. After extending the axle breathers this has never happened since.
