Default I need help!

Is there anyway to find out what's making a noise in my rear end? It's a humming noise that happens only when I accelerate. My jeep drives smooth it's just that noise and it's really really driving me nuts! Please any input will be greatly appreciated!

I have stock gears. Not sure what they are. I think its the 3.73? My friend says it sounds like a pinion bearing. Its like a whining noise only when I hit the gas. It doesn't do it when I let of the gas

sounds like your buddy might be right, I would open up the diff and take a look. Or take it to the dealer, if thats an option.

Pinions make noise on accel or decel, your buddy sounds like he knows what he's talking about.
