Post I need Brakes...........

25K miles and I need rear brakes...... I am currently stock as seen in my pix but plan on going to a TF2.5" lift and 35's this year. What does everybody do when they need rear pads?

Order pads and replace myself...$
Brake Specialist...$$$
Repalce with BIG brake kit...$$$$ (is this an option for rear)
Dont worry about the rear the fronts look great and hope for the best?...$$$$$$$$$$$

I replace them myself with Hawk brand pads. Better stopping and made in USA.

I had to do the rear about 25k also.

There is a write-up on how to do them. I followed the instructions and got the pads myself. Saved a lot of money and did a repair that def should be done.

Just curious what you's guys are doing to have to change your brakes at 25,000k. I have heard the saying of driving it like you stole it, are you stopping it like you stole it too. I have 135,000k on mind . Now that is kilometres . I am changing mine only because I am going up to 37" tires. I do have a stick and down shift all the time to slow down. 25,000 just seams to early.

I agree it seems early! My JKU is my DD and doesn't see the trails nearly enough!!

aev heat reduction hood. Did not like green on green. It would not show up to good so went with matte black. If I get the rugged ridge half doors I will do the same.
