...I modified my LoD rear bumper
Ok this is kinda a sneak peak since im letting the paint dry over night before doing the install tomorrow.
There were a few things I wanted to change about the bumper.
First being the tire carrier, I modified it to mount a Hi-lift in the vertical position like seen on the TJ ARB bumpers.
Also I didn't like the shackle mounts so I grinded them off. I added some plate steel behind the door to give it a more even look. Last I sand blasted all the rough powder coating off and re-painted with a smooth satin black industrial paint.
Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, ill be installing it in the morning and will be sure to post some worthy pics. For comparison here is a pic of what it looked like when I got it.

While your modifying don't forget to drill and tap the post the spare tire swings on. That way you can thread in a bolt and large washer so you don't loose the carrier on a bumpy road or while upside down. It'll help keep the grease in and even wear longer with better support.
