What size tires do you have now? I can't say for sure about the 2wd becasue I haven't seen one yet, at least I don't think so....

So you took a 2wd sahara, and converted it into a 4wd Sahara/Rubi???

How was that project?

Technically speaking, the 2wd shouldn't sit any lower than the 4wd, unless you put the 4wd components in, and you're using 2wd springs. I'm sure the added weight will lower the jeep quite a bit.

EDIT: Just re-read your orignal post. You found the 2wd to sit lower? Maybe you had smaller tires and put the rubicons on???

ok let me try to explain this a little bit better..i have a 2wd drive sahara with a tf bb(2.5) now im keepin my stock moabs and going to use wheel spacers but what is the largest tire i can run with this current setup? now my buddy HAD a 07 rubi and it got hit by a drunk driver and is now totaled..so im buying parts of his jeep to convert it to 4wd drive(im only missing a few minor parts that will hold up the install) but i cannot use the rubi springs..one was literally cracked in half and the other is so warped it would be a pain...so with this said it will be converted to 4wd and with the added weight..will the 2wd sahara springs give me enough clearance or do i need an upgrade..keep in mind guys im in the military and money is an issue!! thanks in advance

First of all, Thank You For Your Service

Second, I see springs for sale all the time as folks upgrade their rigs. You could also watch for them on "auction sites" while you accumulate the rest of the parts you need before the conversion.

I think the unlimited have different springs than the 2 doors to make up for the added weight. You may need to buy springs suitable for the 4door

Well this is where the good people of this forum chip and help one of America's finest out. I can give you my complete factory Rubicon suspension minus the axles, and track bars. I'll give it to you free if you'll pay shipping from Georgia. That would include spings, control arms, and shocks.

PM me if you're interested. Post up whatever else you need and I'm sure somebody's got it collecting dust.

Thanks for serving.
