I just talked to them today David. Yes, they are providing some new parts for the Tie Rod, but not the Drag Link . . . and for me at least, the shipping will be over $100 regardless of which option I choose (i.e., ship my current tierod out, have them replace the sub-par quality components, ship back all on my dime . . . or ship replacement parts to me, I replace, then ship back again all on my dime). With the latter option, I get my credit card charged until they receive the rusted rod, cheesy clamps, and split boots back in the mail.

They are doing nothing on the drag link - I asked them if it would be okay for me to post up pics of the same issues on the drag link and they said sure, but they were not going to warranty that Currie product.

Check out ruffstuf* site. You can build your own offset tie rod for $125. Even comes with 1.5" x.25 dom tube.

Is this just from Northridge4X4 or is Currie doing a replacement for everyone?

Would be cool if it was Northridge4X4 as they only required a small shipping cost when they provided a replacement for the bad JKS hoop track bar, and you didn't have to send back the faulty part. I bought my Currie tie rod and drag link from Northridge4X4. This is the only time I wish I hadn't followed David's recommendation on hardware, but I don't think anyone knew about the quality issues inherent in the Currie product at the time.

Maybe David can work out a better deal to cover those of us that purchased through him.

Currie really pissed me off with this one after close to a thousand dollars (between shipping and warranting pieces) for a tie rod and a drag link if ANYTHING goes wrong with the 2nd gen that I now have installed I will be going another route completely and never buying another product from them again. The new pieces seem to address a lot of the problems that the old had, but for the cost I honestly can't recommend them to a fellow Jeeper. anyway here's what the new ones look like. on a side note you do get a new SS bracket that's pretty damn nice!

(this is only a pic of the tie rod, because I just put the draglink in and it's dark now)

OH GEE LOOK SOMEONE ELSE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE DRAGLINK....hmmmmmm Currie swears that they haven't received any other complaints about it and it's a superior product...SO on top of the 4 hundred bucks I shelled out for it I was forced to pay another $180 bucks to "upgrade" to the newer design. HERE read these words this was a bunch of BULLSHIT, and the main reason I am extremely sore with Currie.

and jkrubi I'm still waiting for my refund of that $150 it doesn't come as quick as they charge the card to get the new one to you... there's a shocker

I have the Rock Krawler and have had the tie rod hit and ride up a rock with both front tires not touching the ground and didn't bend it!
