Hypertech time
Since I sent back my Superchips tuner I decided to try the Hypertech. I have read nothing negative about them so far. Hopefully I will have better luck with it. I will keep those wondering about Hypertech tuner posted once it arrives.

I installed the Hypertech tune today and took the Sahara for a spin. No pinging like the Superchips was doing! Hopefully it will stay that way. I am doing some highway driving tonight so I will see how the transmission feels with the new tune.

I'm jealous. I'm getting 12 mpg's. I sooooo need a Hypertech!
What does it not do that the Superchip does?
Does anyone know the difference between the 2? And/or the Procal?

I can't change top speed limiter with it but I really do not care about that. It has 87 and 93 tunes, change fan temps, change tire size, change gear ratio. Can't change TPMS either I think.

Can I run a Hypertech and a Superchip at the same time? I definitely need to change the TPMS and tire size but I want better mileage. I could care less about top speed. I don't go over 75 hardly ever anymore.

I've run both tuners. mpg gain is minimal with both of them. If you are getting 12 to 13mpg right now, the most you should expect is 1 to 2 mpg at most assuming you get anything at all. Take into account the slight pwoer increase you feel with a tune and your driving habits may change easily taking away that mpg gain.
I prefer the Superchips over the Hypertech. Besides the additional features you get, I "felt" more power with superchips than I did with the Hypertech. Plus, no pinging or any other issues with me.
And no, don't run Hypetech and Superchips together. Bad things can happen.
