How would you respond to this situation?

Balancing should have caught this early on...
Makes me wonder why all the previous balancing (especially RoadForce) didn't catch wheels that were bent that bad.

I agree that you're gonna be responsible for the cost of replacing warn parts even if it was caused by the wheels.
The fact that you didn't keep going back to where you got the wheels for all of the rebalancing and inspections they could easily argue one of the other ships you took your Jeep to did the damage. Also since it was a year beaten when you installed the wheels and when you discovered the warn ball joints and track bar mount they child say wear and tear due to your driving habits.
Don't get me wrong, I had some dw caused by out of round tires that damaged parts (whole different set of conditions and circumstances) so I know the frustration and fully agree it sounds like the wheels caused the problem. I'm just not confident you'll get them to cover damage done

Shame on me for not balancing my own wheels and seeing the defects.

First,, with an issue like this, you cant just talk to the sales guy on the phone. You need to request a manager and speak to that person. If the manager fails to make you happy,, ask for his supervisor. Keep asking for a supervisor. Eventually you will get to someone who has the power to make the decisions necessary to make you happy. If you don't, Its time to write an e-mail to corporate offices.
As for what I would ask of them, as a company, to make you happy,,, Sell you the steering component parts which are worn, or required to fix the problem at their cost. This should be a 30-50% discount. Then invite buddies over for pizza and beer and install yourself. I don't think this is asking too much, and they will appreciate the fact you aren't looking to take advantage of the situation by asking for the world.
Good luck.

4Wheelparts didn't go above and beyond, but I can't complain to be honest. They replaced my wheels, I think with a balance, and then acquiesced to my request to flip all the tires on the wheel so the worn edge is now on the inside of the wheel. All for free.
And yes, replacing those wheels immediately solved my severe wobble issues. I still believe those wheels were a major factor in my steering components taking a dump so early, but oh well. I'm ordering the parts I need through a friend with a sponsorship, and if anything it's a good excuse to the mrs. to upgrade.
Oh, the dealership voided my warranty too for the lift.
My biggest lessons learned here are just how important it is to learn to install parts yourself. It's damn near robbery for the install prices...

How do they get $2500?! Even for an overpriced shop, the math doesn't add up. You're talking maybe $300 in parts. I could swap those parts out in under two hours. Call it $200 for labor. Where is the other $2000?? And since it is obviously a little bit their fault, I would think they would cut a deal on parts.
Btw, buy the parts and do it yourself. It is pretty basic stuff.
