I will put it right out their for you. It's your Jeep do what you like.
But for me I have never seen 20's on a Jeep that i have liked ( sorry Camp, and Evolution) Even if your running 40" tires 20's just look like, well crap.
By tires for your rims, and be happy......

If you have enough lift and sidewall, I think 20s will look fine. Like the Evolution rig. that thing is awesome. Then again, if you try to go the low rider gangsta route, it's gonna suck.

Lets think about this
If you get 20's with any size meat on there you are going to need to replace your brakes, and tires are more expensive for a 20" rim so from a fiscal standpoint your better off buying some wheels and tires brand new than trying to piece something together and spending more in the end. And 20's are too much rim unless your running 40's think about it. 20" rim 40" tire only leaves 10 inches of tire from bead to tread.

Different strokes
I don't think that you should run a 33" tire on a 20" rim, but when you get to the 37-40" range is starts to look good.

The look is personal taste, and I am not sure this is the point. If you run trails and need to air down you're in for trouble. There will not be enough sidewall for the tire to flex and maintain a sealed bead. This is not debatable, I think all would agree.
I regret going to 17 inch rims and 33's, and need to upgrade to 35's mainly so I can air down properly. If I go below 15psi I will change a tire on the trail. I even have to at 15psi. I need to run about 10psi for the traction. With 20 inch rims and 35's, you will have bead problems off road.
You just need to know the real world downside, regardless of your taste in the looks.
